This program offers hands-on activities and expert guidance in macramé, embroidery, tapestry weaving, and bag making. Whether you're a beginner or experienced textile enthusiast, it's perfect for anyone who loves to create and explore with their hands. 


Under Becky's guidance, students will learn about the important techniques of each craft, and will have the opportunity to experiment with different materials, colors and techniques. Throughout the week, students will create their own unique pieces, and will develop the skills and confidence to continue exploring fibre arts on their own. This program is perfect for anyone who loves to create and explore, and wants to learn new skills in a supportive and encouraging environment.

About the artist:

Becky Gilmour is a designer and textile artist, specializing in fibre arts.

With over 13 years in the Fashion industry, Becky kept returning home to her passion of crafts and established her personal studio and practice in 2017.

Having partnered with Facebook, adidas, Swire Properties, Bloomberg, Soho House, Barclays Bank, LUSH, KPC Yarns, Fossil, Pacsafe, Just Challenge, Jane Street, JEB Group, Mirth Home, EQ:IQ, AirBNB Experiences, Loupe HK - The Artisanal Movement, Becky provides brand and team building events exploring the unifying power of craft and creativity, with the founding belief, that a purposeful hand enhances well-being and fosters positivity.

Make & Do Hong Kong was established in 2017, offering a wide range of craft skills. This is the foundation for Becky’s work, establishing a community of like minded individuals and sharing the joy in making. Becky also teaches individual workshops at her studio in Chai Wan, sharing her knowledge and expertise of craft.
