Emb@RC stands for exploration, motivation and boundlessness @ Renaissance College and this year it will take place between Nov 3rd-7th, 2025. Emb@RC Week is a crucial component of our student's educational experience, as it gives them an opportunity to engage in learning outside of the classroom, to take a break from academic studies, develop holistically and participate in activities to build collaboration, leadership and more. All students must participate in Emb@RC Week and the activities provide our students with a platform to develop their experiential learning and appreciate life outside of the four walls of school.

Sign-Up Instructions

• Students will have a launch assembly on Monday 26th May, where the details of EMB@RC week 2025 will be shared with them

• The assembly will include information about the trip selection process

• The EOTC website will also be shared with students on Monday 26th May, this is the place to explore all of the trips on offer and find full details about each one

• Students will be emailed a Google Form on Monday 2nd June 2025, to indicate their trip preferences, with sign ups closing at 5pm on Monday 9th June 2025 

• Students will be able to choose from the Year 7 only trip to Kaiping and Foshan, Year 7 only Pony Riding day camp, Wolfies Football day camp and the 'Year 7 and 8 HKAYP DofE Local Camp' box and submit the form

• For those students who do not wish to attend any of the camps listed above, we will also run a Hong Kong Greeters day camp, for a limited number of attendees

• Each Year 6 student (Year 7 in November 2025) must select their preferences from the options and include a short citation explaining their interest in their chosen activity

• Students who wish to attend the Year 7 and 8 HKAYP DofE Local Camp, will be given more details about this in August/September 2025 and can indicate this preference on the google form

• Students will be notified of their assigned trip in June. Once a confirmation email has been received, you will be given instructions for paying a deposit for Kaiping (if successfully selected for this option). Failure to pay a deposit, means you may lose your spot

• Please make sure you write your citation for why you want to attend one of these camps carefully and thoughtfully

• Your successful selection for overseas camps includes your citation and discussion with Head of Year/trip leader, which considers a number of factors

• If trips are oversubscribed, spaces cannot be guaranteed, equallly if trips are undersubscribed, they may not run
