Emb@RC stands for exploration, motivation and boundlessness @ Renaissance College and this year it will take place between Nov 3rd-7th, 2025. Emb@RC Week is a crucial component of our student's educational experience, as it gives them an opportunity to engage in learning outside of the classroom, to take a break from academic studies, develop holistically and participate in activities to build collaboration, leadership and more. All students must participate in Emb@RC Week and the activities provide our students with a platform to develop their experiential learning and appreciate life outside of the four walls of school.
Students will be emailed a Google Form on Monday 24th March 2025 with sign ups closing on Thursday 3rd April 2025.
Students will be able to choose from the Year 10 only trips to Bali and China, Year 10 and 12 trips to London or Austria and an overnight Year 9 and 10 Hong Kong adventure camp, as well as a number of local day camps shared with Year 12 CAS students (please see Y10 international trips page for full details of all international options).
Each student in Year 9 (Year 10 in November 2025) must select their 3 preferences from the options and include a short citation explaining their interest in their chosen activities.
Students will be notified of their assigned trip in April/May. If you are successfully chosen for an International trip, once a confirmation email has been received, you will be given instructions on how to pay your deposit. Failure to pay a deposit may result in losing your spot on any international trip.
Please make sure you write your citation for why you want to attend one of these camps carefully and thoughtfully.
Your successful selection for overseas camps includes your citation and discussion with Head of Year/trip leader, which considers a number of factors.

You should choose activities that are personally challenging and give you a chance to do something you might not otherwise do. Don't pick activities simply because your friends are choosing them. This is your chance to get to know different people and find people with a similar interest to you!
Before submitting your Google Form, be sure to discuss all options with your parents/guardians. You will not be permitted to change activities after you have submitted your choices unless there is a valid reason/an emergency takes place.
While students are not guaranteed to receive their first option of activities, we will try our best to accommodate your needs and interests by working with the the options you've selected. If none of these options can be arranged, we will reach out to you with further information.
