Raymond Central Athlete Expected Behavior
As athletes at Raymond Central, we want to present ourselves and the program as top notch and first class. We want to display this by our actions, words and behaviors. We want other schools, players, coaches, officials, spectators and businesses that we come in contact with to notice what a great group of young people you are.
Show Up Everyday to Practice
-Embrace the process of getting better every day.
-Use practice time as a way to improve and show coaches your mental and physical skills and abilities.
-There are only two excused reasons to miss practice: Other Approved School Activities or a Funeral.
Respect for Opponent and their school:
-Be excited and grateful to be at their school. No complaints about the facilities or people.
-Clean up after yourselves in the locker rooms. Leave the facility nicer than when you arrived.
-Be friendly and polite. Say “Please” and “Thank You.”
Be Class in the Competitive Arena:
-When you are competing, you are always giving your best effort.
-Address officials as Mr./Mrs. Official.
-Do not wear anything on or with your uniform that has not been issued by the coach.
-Treat the opponent with respect, no name calling or taunting.
-Encourage your teammates every chance you get, be positive after a mistake.
-Enjoy individual and TEAM success.
-When it is not your turn, know the situation. Be prepared to contribute when your time comes.
-Great attitude and effort regardless of score or place.
-No feeling sorry for yourself or pouting, you are an athlete, you overcome all distractions.
-Be confident in your ability and your teammates.
Travel Plans:
-Be on time.
-Check to make sure you have everything before you leave.
-On the way to competition keep the noise down. Respect others' mental preparation.
-Share seats and space on the bus.
-Put all garbage in the trash containers. Pick up your section and areas around you.
-Eating at restaurants – Be patient, polite and courteous.
Support Each Other and the Raymond Central Teams:
-Attend competitions of the other teams in the school when you have the opportunity.
-Support the teams in a classy manner.
