Applications and Guidelines

If you are Planning on running for an ELECTED POSITION, please read below:

• Internet material may go up after midnight, Sunday, April 26th. You may promote your candidacy through the end of elections on Wednesday, May 6th.
• ALL campaigning materials (digital or otherwise) must be school appropriate (no bad words, flagrant remarks, inappropriate pictures, etc.). Discipline will be adhered to if those rules are broken.
• ALL campaigning materials MUST ONLY endorse yourself; no putting down your opponents or supporting other candidates.
• ALL campaigning materials MUST be approved by the Activities Director, Mrs. Mata or the School Relations Commissioners (Please see below).
• Postings must advertise Election May 4th-6th, 2020 through RBUSD school email.
• Friends and family may NOT campaign for you or other running candidates (they may support you).
• If a website is not approved or other material is not approved, you will be subject to removal from ballot.
• Instagram: The following people must be allowed to “follow” your profile and view your instagram story.

• Snapchat: You must add the following as “friend” and allow them to view your story:

• Once elections are over, social media accounts will be “unfollowed/ unfriended” as necessary.
• Campaigns must advertise Election Day on Monday, May 4th- Wednesday May 6th
• If any of the above rules are broken, you will be removed from the ballot and risk not being accepted into ASB for the 2020-2021 academic school year.
