March Madness started on March 21, 2024, and ended on April 8, 2024. So here is what you need to know about March Madness. March Madness is a NCAA tournament that invites 64 teams to participate. The tournament is divided into four regions, each having 16 teams. The tournament's first four days are known as the First Four, which includes eight teams playing in four games. The winner of each of these games advances to the round of 64. March Madness can also be known as the Big Dance. The tournament is played in an elimination kind of deal meaning that a team is eliminated from the tournament after losing just one game. The Final Four is the last stage of the tournament, featuring the remaining four teams playing in a single-elimination format to determine the national champion!
The odds of having a perfect bracket is 1 in 9.2 quintillion! Nobody has ever gotten a perfect bracket in March Madness and that makes sense because it is 1 in 9.2 quintillion. The NCAA March Madness tournament has been around since March 27, 1939 (85 years). In those 85 years not one person has got a perfect bracket ever. The final score for the game was UConn, 75 points. Purdue, 60 points. UConn had a field goal percentage of 48.4 beating Purdue by 4%. UConn had a total of 37 rebounds, 6 more than Purdue. The top players of each team were Triston Newton and Zach Edey. Triston Newton had 20 points, and Zach Edey had 37 points.
Here is an interview with Benjamin Lawson about the turnout of the game ĀØPurdue did not deserve to make that far into the tournament. But it was pretty normal to see for UConn and I was surprised by NC State beating Duke to make the final four. I think that Zach Edey and Tristan Newton were very big there for teams to win. But it kinda sucked that Indiana State was not invited because of Larry Bird playing and I have liked what he has done.ĀØ
