This article is going to start off with why sour patch kids have that sour and sweet taste, And the weird and wacky history and fun facts of how sour patch came to be. All of the colors and flavors of this sour sweet candy. All of the kinds they come in.
Sour Patch Kids are intensely sour when you bite into them and then they are really sweet. According to www.wideopeneats.com “The candy works because the sugar coating is made with tartaric acid and citric acid that reacts with the saliva on your tongue to create a strong sour flavor.” And “Then you get to the sweet gummy candy under the coating, so your mouth experiences both tastes. Then the candy is gone and it's time to go back to the bag for another.”
