And the crowd goes wild! Wait, is this science? Yes, it is science. In fact, did you know that the school has its own club dedicated to doing science? Grant Powell is in charge this season. They have one competition that they are preparing for all season, and I am sure they will nail it. Keep reading to learn more about this amazing club.
Science club is every Wednesday after school until 3:30. The club meetings will be in room 113. Mr. Powell informed, “So far there are eight kids who are interested.” If you think you might be interested in joining, you could email Mr. Powell, or meet him in his classroom to find out more. If science isn’t really your thing, try seeing if a friend likes science, because if they do this is a fantastic club for them.
Each year there is a different theme, and this year they will be learning science of the 80s and 90s. They might learn about telephones, computers, and many other things that were invented or improved in the 80s and 90s. Not everyone knows a lot about the inventions of the 80s and 90s, so if you join the science club you could show off your amazing new facts to your family and friends. This would also be a great way to prove to yourself how much you can learn about science and have fun at the same time.
Later in the year they will actually have a competition where the theme is over some things they have been learning about. Their competition will be on April 27th 2024. All year up until the competition they will be studying, and preparing. After the season is over don’t worry about being bored, since Science club goes on for a while, then there is only a little while until summer. And don’t forget you can always do it again the next year
In conclusion, the science academics club is a great club that you could join if you are looking for a new hobby, or something fun to fill your time. And don’t forget, it’s every Wednesday right after school till 3:30, in room 113. If you join you’ll have a blast and learn all sorts of science! In other notes, if you like science bowl you could consider joining math, language arts, or social studies bowl. Thanks for reading!
