Do you know about Jack the Ripper? Or how they killed five women and mysteriously stopped? Maybe even possible theories on who they are?
On August 31, 1888, Mary Ann Nichols was found at Bucks Row street in Whitechapel London dead. Her throat was slit, as well as her stomach. There were a lot of murders in Whitechapel, but this one stuck out. Now, if it wasn't the 1800’s, maybe they could've found who murdered her, but since it is, they basically had no clues or anything to follow which made the media very interested on who it was.
Now that the media is talking about it, it has everyone intrigued but scared on who the murderer will go for next. The second murder happened on September 8, 1888 in the backyard of 29 Hanbury street which was where they found Annie Chapman. On the 27 of September 1888 the police found a letter called “Dear Boss”. The letter was signed by Jack the Ripper officially giving a name for the killer.
At first they ignored the letter, but then there was a double murder, which was when they paid attention to it. September 30 1888 was the double murder of Elizabeth Stride and Catherine Eddwoes. Now the police started to pay attention to the Dear Boss letter they had found a few days before.
Now there's the last victim. Mary Kelly was found in her apartment on November 9 1888. After that, there were no other women who were murdered by Jack, they just stopped. There are millions of theories on who it was, but no one really knows who they were, or their motive. To this day, Jack the Ripper is still an unsolved murder mystery. Some say it's Aaron Kosminski or H.H. Holmes. Some also say it might be Walter Sickert or Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence and Avondale, or maybe James Kelly; it may even be a woman. There are tons and tons of theories on who Jack the Ripper was and questions on them and their motives.
I think Jack the Ripper is either H.H. Holmes or a woman. H.H Holmes was also a serial killer who killed 26 people in the murder house he made, but he did kill more; he also had a medical degree. H.H Holmes wasn’t even his real name, he had changed it. The reason why I think it might be him is because he had tickets to London at the very same time as Jack the Ripper and his letters had stopped. The reason I also think they might be a woman is that there are not many women killers but women are more likely to go psychotic so most were probably not caught.
Tons of possibilities on who Jack was and questions which may remain unknown. It's not forgotten, and maybe they will find out who Jack the Ripper was. We will never know for now.
