Have you ever thought about what job you will want to have when you grow up? Have you ever wondered what jobs you could do? Well, in this article I’m going to be talking about some of the three weirdest jobs I could find.
The first job is a dog food tester and yes, you read that right. These people have to spend four to seven years in college to get a doctorate in nutritional and food science. Thankfully all those years in college, of hard work do not go to waste, because according to HowStuffWorks.com, “A professional pet food tester-taster generally earns at least $34,000 per year, and can even rake in more than $100,000 annually.” They can make from $21-$57 an hour. Their job is to test the food’s smell, flavor, texture, and consistency… and luckily spit it out.
The next job is a Professional cuddler, whose job is to cuddle with people.
These people are paid on average $40 - $80 an hour to go to people's homes and cuddle with them. Some people may think that it would be an easy job but according to uk.indeed.com, “Professionals acknowledge that the job is not as fun as most people think because most of their clients go through traumatic emotional issues and often want someone to hug them and tell them everything is going to be okay.” On the other hand, some people, like Katie Coffman think that it would be a helpful job for people that need therapy, “I think it makes people very very happy because a lot of people are very lonely”
Lastly, coming in first for the stinkiest job, Odor Judge. These people have to test products by smelling someone’s breath or even armpits before using an odor-reducing product and after. They are paid $31.97 an hour to sniff people's armpits and other body parts for a living, and according to KeepCalling.net, “This job is so serious that judges’ sense of smell is tested every month.” This is one job I would never want to do and, 7th grader Bricen Collins agrees, “I would not like that job it sounds nasty”
Thank you for reading my article I hope that this article was informational and that it might give you a new idea for a career when you are older if all the others are too boring and normal.
