It’s a nice summer day, people riding their bikes, at the beach, on carnival rides. Until, a big gray cloud starts appearing. Then, huge ice shards start coming out of the ground and everything starts freezing. This is the story of the new Ghostbusters movie called “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire”, coming out on March 29, this year. Click here to watch the trailer on youtube. This movie is about a freezing chill during the middle of summer, which is called the “death chill”. The death chill is said to have the power to freeze you to death just from fear alone.

Although the death chill is the main “villain” in the trailer, according to screenrant.com it has been confirmed that the actual main villain will be a character named Garraka. Which is a big demon-like creature with horns, that you can see two times in the trailer. 6th grader, ZZ Welding says that she would want to watch it because, “It seems really interesting and I like Ghostbusters.” This movie is the fifth one in the series, with there also being an animated series on the original four ghostbusters. Although the 3rd movie doesn’t take place in the same universe as the others and is more like a remake.
*Spoiler Alert*
If you don’t plan on watching any of them, you still should know some things about the first movie and Ghostbusters: Afterlife. For the first movie, there are four ghostbusters, Egon Spengler, Ray Stantz, Peter Venkman, and Winston Zeddemore. You will also need to know that there are three supernatural entities, Gozer, the Gatekeeper, and the Keymaster. These are the main villains in Afterlife as well. For Afterlife you should also know that Egon dies and his grandkids are the main characters and help defeat Gozer, with the other 3 original ghostbusters. The other three original ghostbusters will also come back again for this movie.
This movie is a sequel to Afterlife with both of the movies being around the same time period. Also, it takes place in New York City, where the original two movies took place. 6th grader, Zoey Carter says, “I would watch it, because it brings back another ghostbuster movie, because there hasn’t been one in a while and it seems interesting.” After reading this article, I hope you will consider watching this movie or all of the ghostbuster movies if you haven’t already seen them.
