What did you do this summer? Did you go on vacation? Did you stay at home and play video games, or maybe you visited family in another state?Ā I know something that everyone has done this summer, binge-watch a show. In this article, I am going to list some of the best new seasons of shows that have released this summer, so if you didnāt watch them this summer, you can watch and enjoy them this school year.
The first show I am going to mention is something you might be a little familiar with and it's called Star Trek! Well, not exactly, the show I'm talking about is called Star Trek Strange New Worlds which was released on June 15th of 2023, It's based on a completely different timeline than the original movies. This is a show about Captain Christopher Pike (played by Anson Mount) and the crew of the amazing Starship USS Enterprise in the 23rd century as they explore new worlds throughout the galaxy. If you like shows about sci-fi and action as well as a little bit of comedy, then this might be the show for you. But if you do like this show then you can go watch it on Paramount +.
The next show I am going to talk about is Marvel studios secret invasion. You can watch this on Disney +. Released on June 21st of 2023 this show is about Nick Fury played by Samuel L. Jackson and his allies Everett Ross played by Martin Freeman, as well as Maria Hill (Colbie Smoulders) coming out of the shadows to deal with a clandestine invasion of alien Skrulls. I really suggest you watch this show especially if you like action and comedy, even better if you're a marvel fan.
And last but not least, the show I will talk about is called The Bear. Released on June 22, 2023, and is currently streaming on FX. This show is about a young chef (Carman Berzatto) who comes home to Chicago to run his family's sandwich shop after a heartbreaking death in his family. He must learn to balance the life-crushing realities, with the troubles and stress of running a small business. If you like Funny goofy comedic shows with a spice of drama in the mix then I guarantee that you will love this show.
Overall, if you haven't watched these shows yet then you need to. I guarantee you will have a good time and maybe spark an interest in the film world or you can just sit on the couch and binge-watch them, that's completely fine!
