Dogs are the most popular and common household pet in America, and there are many breeds of dogs, from the German Shepard to the Bernese Mountain Dog. But what dog breed is the most popular? Well, according to many people, they all have different opinions but I will be saying what I think are the best dog breeds.
Number 5: Bulldog
These guys are very cute and loyal too. L.B says, “I like bulldogs because they have stubby noses and I think that is very cute.” But the reason they are only on number 5 is because they can be a little ferocious sometimes and not that many people own them--but they are pretty popular in America and in Fresno, California, where there is a college with a bulldog mascot. They are the Fresno State Bulldogs. GO FRESNO STATE!! But anyway this is why they are number 5 on the list.

Number 4: Boxer
Boxers are very handsome and they have a lot of energy so they are fun to play with. Starla Deckard says, “Boxers are playful and protective of their families, and patient with children.”
but sometimes their bites can hurt. I had a friend who had a boxer but he got bit and was in pain for 2 days but other than that they are handsome, loyal, very muscular, and very fun to be around and again fun to play with. This is why they are number 4 on the list.

Number 3: Husky
Now that we are in the top 3 the dogs are gonna get very good like the husky. Owen Zehr says, “Huskies seem like a very good dog breed, they are very playful and very calm and gentle.” They are very beautiful, loyal and have the most energy of any dog making them very fun to play with and they have a beautiful coat of fur but the reason why this is number 3 is because they are very hyper which means they can be a little too much sometimes and they shed like crazy which will leave a mess. Shedding is ok if you have a dog but when you get a husky,be prepared to clean up tons of hair. This is why they are number 3 on my list

Number 2: Golden Retriever
Golden Retrievers are the dogs that most people decide to get. According to the American Kennel Club, the Golden Retriever population in the U.S is 600,000 out of 80,000,000 dogs in the U.S. They are very fun to play with because they have a lot of energy and you can also swim with them because they were originally trained to help hunt and swim. Callen Robertson says, “I like how playful and loyal Golden Retrievers are.” But the reason they are number 2 on the list is because like the husky, they can be a little hyperactive sometimes but other than that, they are just loyal. This is why Golden Retrievers are number 2 on my list.

Number 1: Cockapoo
In my opinion, I think that Cockapoos are just the best dog. George Cronin says, “I love these dogs because they are adorable and remind me of my own dog.” They have the perfect amount of energy and they are also hyper but they are easy to calm down. If you have a family that lives in a small house and is trying to get a dog, a Cockapoo is the perfect dog for you because in order to have a bigger dog, one of the things you need is a bigger house. And they don’t shed which is very helpful. And I know this is an editorial so it’s supposed to be biased but I feel really biased for this being my number 1 top breed because this is the breed that my dog is. But Other than that, this is why Cockapoos are number 1 on my list.

Overall these are my top 5 favorite dogs. Some you might agree with but others might not be your favorite or you don’t know them but they all shared one thing in common: They all are very cute. Thank you for reading my article and have a great day.
