Trump Wins Iowa Caucus

The results of the 2024 presidential primaries held in Iowa have been released, and the winner of the first set of votes is none other than former President Donald Trump, with a lead of 30 percent of points over his closest rival, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who came in second. In third position was the former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley, followed by businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, who had already withdrawn from the race earlier due to his poor showing.
According to the latest updates, nearly 95 percent of the expected votes have been reported. Donald Trump is currently leading comfortably with around 51 percent of the vote, whereas DeSantis is in second place with 21 percent. Haley is following closely behind with 19 percent, and Ramaswamy is trailing far behind with just 8 percent of the votes.
Trump's victory in Iowa was not surprising, given his popularity among Republican voters. He won most of the votes in Iowa and managed to carry almost every demographic category, which firmly established him as the most Trump-like candidate in the race. Ramaswamy's exit from the race could work in Trump's favor, as it may help him gain some ground in the New Hampshire primary.“I don’t really care about politics, but I would vote for Nikki Haley.” A.B said.
However, the New Hampshire primary, which was held a couple of days ago, was the easiest contest for Trump during the entire primary process. Despite DeSantis and Haley remaining in a close race for second place, they are so far behind Trump that it seems like they need a more realistic path to claiming the nomination. With DeSantis dropping out of the race, Nikki Haley could be as a serious contender against Trump.“If I was a Republican, I would vote for Nikki Haley.” Mrs. Jones said.
If this trend continues in future primary elections, and no unforeseen circumstances arise, a potential rematch between Trump and Biden could be on the cards this November. However, New Hampshire is a different ball game, and the results of that race could change the narrative about Trump's dominance.
