We all know about the so-called, “Sephora kids” but do we all know about what Sephora tweens are doing now? First, I’d like to let you know that “Sephora kids” are not real, and social media makes issues like this look more intense than they are. Yes, testers are dirty but testers are made to test products. If you are a believer that Sephora tweens are making messes I'd like you to know the real facts about the real trends at Sephora.
Tweens being mean to workers and making messes at Sephora was a viral concept for a while. On big social media platforms like TikTok and YouTube, people, mostly grown adults, talked about the issues and scolded parents for letting their kids like skincare and makeup at 10 years old. The big deal for most influencers is that these 10-year-old parents did nothing to help the issue but let it happen. Many kids on these platforms want to put a stop to this and many have spoken out about these assumptions that every kid is the same.
These "Sephora kids" went viral on Tik Tok for their bad behavor in the store.
The “ Hype” or trend for the tweens involves foundation in the darkest shade it comes in. Let's see what Katelyn Riply a 6th grader who enjoys skincare and makeup has to say, “I think it's horrible and that people are making messes alongside it.” what's worse is they do it with higher-end brands like Fenty and Rare Beauty. “I think its a bad trend that needs to end, “ says Eleonor McElroy.
two of the expensive brands.
These kids went viral on social media for the little show they put on in the store.
After making these messes and rubbing on what they might say is “face paint” they make animal noises and run around the store. Not only are they being rude and disruptive they aren't buying products. Sephora is not a playground but a place kids might want to visit which is okay with many U.S. citizens actions of some tweens are causing Sephora employees to not trust and follow some kids and tweens while they shop. Which is uncomfortable for some paying customers.
This trend has gone viral on social media and sooner rather than later the influencers on these platforms like Tik Tok and Instagram are going to be posting about it just like they all did over the messy testers.
