A new year starts at Edgewood Junior High School and along with that comes new clubs! The EJHS Drama Club has had their first meeting last Tuesday! Theater club has meetings every Tuesday and is planning a play for this spring.
Dorothy Hamilton, a 7th grader in theatre club says, “I joined theater club because for four or five years I’ve been doing a lot of theater camps over the summer and I’ve really enjoyed so I thought theater Club is going to be like the theater camps and so I was excited to join because of that.” In the first semester of theater club, the students will be learning about plays and how to be in one. In the second semester, they will be producing a play that the students have a part in choosing.

“Theater Club is an opportunity for kids to get together and the first semester we are learning how to do theater so we're just learning how to work on a stage and how to project our voice and that sort of thing and then second semester we are going to put on a show.” Says Mrs. Finn when talking about Theater Club. “If other people want to join, even if they’re in something right now, they still can later. If they’re interested in it even a little bit, even being in the background or working set or anything like that they should sign up.”
