Since the Super Bowl is happening/happened on the 12 of February, I wrote this about the history and more of the Super Bowls!
First the food. There are many different snacks that people like to eat, but there are some that rise above all the rest. Surprisingly, the most popular snack for the Super Bowl is meatballs, followed by in second place, guacamole. Other snacks that you will probably see at your Super Bowl party are tater tots and chili. But the most popular actual meal is definitely chicken wings, the food that almost makes the party a party. 36% of Americans say that they must have wings on Super Bowl day!
Doritos are the most popular chip on Super Bowl day
I asked some people who they wanted to win the Super Bowl. Aiden Williamson, a 6th grader says, “I want the Chiefs to win because they have fought through lots of Super Bowls and they deserve to win because of that.” Also, Macy Mullin, an 8th grader says, “I want the Eagles to win because I think the Chiefs are overrated.”
Now for the teams that have one the most Super Bowls. The top 5 teams starting at number five are; Packers with 4 wins, Cowboys with 5, San Francisco with 5, Patriots with 6, and the number one team is the Pittsburgh Steelers with 6 wins. The stats that separated the teams that had the same amount of wins was how many times they had lost a Super Bowl, so the teams with less were a higher rank.
As you might know the Super Bowl is numbered by the alphabetic numeral system, so like I, V, X, etc. The Super Bowl coming up will be Super Bowl LVII, so it will be the 57th Super Bowl. The first Super Bowl was in 1967, and the Packers and Chiefs played. Packers one with a good 35-10 score. Not all games go down like that though, some have crazy outcomes.
This is the Steelers winning Super Bowl 43
Like Super Bowl 51, where the Falcons and Patriots played, and the Patriots came back from a 28-3 deficit. Then there are also games where the team does not come back, like Super Bowl 48, where the Seahawks and Broncos played. The Seahawks won 43-8, absolutely blowing the Broncos out of the water. A lot of games can also be really close, like Super Bowl 38 when the Panthers and Patriots played, and the Patriots barely won 32-29.
That just shows that this Super Bowl could have gone any kind of way, and who did you want to win? Did the team you wanted to win win? If it did then answer the poll down below the article. Until the next Super Bowl!
