Run! Run! Run! You can’t catch me, I’m a Corgi! The Annual Corgi Races is a very cute and a great exercise for Corgi’s of any shape, size, or age! When they run their cute little legs run really fast Today we will be talking about how they work and many more.
Corgi Races are one of the cutest things ever! The way the Corgi’s run is too cute to resist. Corgi races tend to take place as yearly special events. They may be organized by a specific track, such as the Emerald Downs facility in Washington that held the televised race. To attend a corgi race it is actually FREE! You just show up to watch the cute corgi’s run! But there are some participation requirements. The first requirement is that your Corgi must have a current rabies vaccination recorded when you check in. We wouldn’t want a Corgi that has rabies to come in and ruin the race! The second requirement is you must bring in a dog license receipt by the city/county of residence. They gotta make sure that your dog and you are eligible to participate in the races!
They host the Corgi Races at Emerald Downs. Emerald Downs is in Auburn, Washington. About 72 Corgi’s attend the race. The first Corgi Race was in 2016. It became an instant hit for people and dogs. Some of the people who attend the races said it was like therapy for them. People love to see the big smiles and the laughs when this sport is going on! Brooklyn Wilson said, “ They are really cute and they are fun to watch.” Corgi’s run 150 feet when they do the race. I bet they get tired running. If your Corgi wins the race you get a $50 prize. It might not be a very big prize, but it’s mostly about having fun and putting smiles on people’s faces. One fact about Corgis is that fairies and elves ride Corgis.
The person who runs the Corgi Races is Claire Anderson. If you want to watch some corgi races, they will be hosted on ESPN! The program is only 30 minutes long so you should have plenty of time to watch! But don’t look away cause you’ll miss a lot! One cool fact about corgi racing is that unlike Greyhound racing, which functions as an industry similar to horse racing, Corgi races tend to take place as yearly special events. One more thing is that The Corgi races are usually organized like human track events.
Well, That’s a wrap on the Corgi Races! I hope you enjoyed learning about these cute little races that cute little dogs do. Go watch some of them sometime and watch how cute and funny these races are! If you would like to put your corgi in it sometime, do it! You’ll enjoy it a lot and it will be a saved memory of you and your dog!
