“ LSU winning!!!” LSU girls win against Iowa girls in the final four. The Iowa Hawkeyes were close but not close enough to winning the whole thing. If you have heard, there is some conflict with Angel and Caitlin.
Some people think Angel took away Caitlin’s celebration. Other people on the other hand think it’s a racial thing because lots of people are mad at Angel. And the people that are mad like Caitlin.
LSU and Iowa had a really tight fight to the final four. Caitlin was hitting crazy threes, and Angel was doing pretty good too.

Angel Reese and Caitlin Clarrk both had wonderful games,but something happened at the end, and the meaning is indecisive.
At the end of the game Caitlin was walking towards her team's bench. Until Angel walked up to Caitlin, and right in front of Caitlin’s face, Angel waved her hand in front of her face, and pointed to her ring finger.
If you don’t know what that means, it means that she’s getting the ring of the championship, and she isn’t. After that happened they all walked off the court.
Caitlin Clark got interviewed about what happened, and her season. Caitlin didn’t really seem upset from what happend, but she did start to cry about her season, and how it was over. She was also sad because of how it ended.
Now that you know what has happened between Angel and Caitlin, do you think it is race or disrespect? Some people say it is race because of the skin color difference of both of them.
Stephan said, “ Caitlin Clark again, no shade in her direction, but does anybody doubt that her behavior would have been very,very similar if she was the one winning against LSU?”
He also says, “She would have done the same thing, she would have done the same thing, so eat it, accept it.”
Even though Stephan said that he liked Caitlin and is her favorite women's basketball player. He still thinks that it's kinda Racial and that Caitlin would have done the exact same thing that Angel did.If you don’t know who Stephan is his full name is Stephan Anthony Smith. He is an American sports broadcaster.
Caitlin Clark on the other hand doesn’t think that Angel should have been criticized for what she did to her and that LSU played really hard.

Now that you see that there are some opinions of the race side of it. Some people think it is disrespectful because they think Angel took the celebration away from Caitlin.
Macy, a 6th grader, thinks it's disrespectful.
Here's what she said, “I think it's disrespectful, but then I also feel like Angel was mad that Caitlin did it to her, and so Angel did it back, and she didn’t steal her celebration. She only did it like once or twice.” You can see that she is kind of in between of what happened and she thinks it's disrespectful, but she doesn’t really think about race either. She just thinks that it was just like a madhouse.
There are two sides to the story. Race and disrespect. LSU maybe deserved it or maybe not. Caitlin Clark was pretty upset, but she fought through it, and knew that LSU did good. What do you think about this situation, do you think it is race or disrespect? Do you think Iowa should have won? We’ll just have to find out what will happen next with LSU and Iowa, and what its going to turn out to be.
