Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood. WAIT, THIS IS NOT THE BOOK! Instead of previewing the book for you, I will inform you about the new TV series coming out. Wait, there is a new TV series coming out? Yes, Rick Riordan, the author of Percy Jackson, has started to create a TV series based intensely on the books. This article includes where they are in the process now, cast listings, frequently asked questions and answers to them, other Rick Riordan productions in the making, and fun facts about the Percy Jackson series.
Ok, by now you are probably wondering when this is coming out, who is playing Percy? Well, here is all you need to know. Rick Riordan first pitched the idea in 2019, after being afraid he would lose control over the series. Later in 2020, Disney+ released that a television series was in the works. The green light was then given in January of 2022. Then in June 2022, the cast started filming. “I think that if it is along the storyline it should be good,” says Jack Grubaugh, a fellow Percy Jackson reader. They are now at chapter 9 in the book. As for the cast, Walker Scobell has been cast to play Percy, Leah Sava Jeffries has been cast to play Annabeth, and Aryan Simhadri has been cast as Grover. To see the rest of the cast look at the picture down below.

The main three actors.
Order: Leah Sava Jeffries (Annabeth), Walker Scobell (Percy), and Aryan Simhadri (Grover).
When will the show come out?
Well, so far the tv series is expected to come out early 2024.
Where can I watch it once it is out?
Disney is actually producing it. With this being said, it will be available on Disney+.
How close will the TV series follow the books?
Since they are only to chapter 9 in the book and started filming in June, I would say they are following the books closely.
What is Percy Jackson?
Percy Jackson is a book series that portrays the idea that the greek gods are real. The series follows one demi-god, Percy Jackson, through his adventures.
Why does the movie not satisfy the fans?
Ever since the Percy Jackson movies first came out, in 2010, Percy Jackson fans have been eager for something better to come out. “I am super excited. This is something the Percy Jackson fandom has waited for, for a long time,” says Ainsley Ferguson, a fan of the book series. The main problem with the movies is the fact that they have the basic idea, but they do not follow the plot of the books. This is mainly due to the fact that Rick Riordan had nothing to do with the movies.
Reader, reading Percy Jackson.
This TV show is not the only thing Rick Riordan is trying to produce. The Kane Chronicles adaptation movies have been announced to be shown on Netflix. The Daughter of the Deep has been announced to have a film on Disney+. So far those are the only other movies/TV shows that have been announced. Otherwise, a Solangelo, Will Solace and Nico di Angelo, book is in the making, as well as an untitled Celtic book.
