Oregon and Idaho are two states in the southern part of the US. Oregon makes mostly liberal decisions while Idaho makes conservative. You may ask why is this important? The United States that you know and love may be changing and pushing together Oregon and idaho. Do you support this decision? Would you allow this to happen? Is it a good idea?
In recent months the states Oregon and Idaho have been considering moving together and leaving out the more liberal part of Oregon. Being Portland and surrounding areas. They even were thinking about taking a part of northern california. Including Hilt, California. And the Cascade mountain system that separates the two states. The reason these states are thinking about doing this is because most of Oregon is republican but the places making the decisions in oregons are making liberal decisions and the right wants more representation. They believe that their voices aren't being heard and they want to combine with a republican state so that they can have their political freedom and not have to have the minority in the state making the decisions. This act has already passed both Idaho and Oregon's state house. The act is going on to senateĀ the state only back and on until it finally gets to the president.
On the one side of the argument, that Oregon should combine is that the right doesn't have a lot of representation of character and they are a minority in that state and most other states and they want this to be the one thing that they have to back them up and have under their belts. The state only backed the president we have now because of the minority in the state. It would be the largest state other than Texas in the usa and helps in the rights voting systems.
On the other hand the maps would change. It would force kids to relearn and go back. It's a long shot and it most likely wouldn't go through the whole system before getting stopped. They would still have Oregon as a state but have the state the size of Rhode Island. ā if it aint broke don't fix it.āĀ
For these reasons I have to think that oregon and idaho should not push together and stay two states and leave it! What do you think? Will it make it to the end? Should they push together?
