Two Basketball Players Faced with Gun Charges

Let's focus on Ja Morant’s charges. The incident occurred on January 29th, 2023, which was not reported until February 5th. The Athletics Report stated, “Following a game between the Indiana Pacers and Memphis Grizzlies on Jan. 29 in Memphis, acquaintances of Grizzlies star Ja Morant aggressively confronted members of the Pacers traveling party near the team's bus in the loading area of FedExForum, and later someone in a slow-moving SUV — which Morant was riding in — trained a red laser on them.”Morant says, “I take full responsibility for my actions last night. I'm sorry to my family, teammates, coaches, fans, partners, and the city of Memphis.” Later the charges were dropped because of, “Not enough evidence.”

Mikey Williams, a Tiger signee, was arrested on April 13th, and was charged with five felony counts of assault with a dangerous weapon. The charges were from a March 27th shooting at his home which is in San Diego, where police say that Mikey shot at a vehicle while it was driving away. There were five people (Three of them being minors) inside the vehicle while it was driving away, while Mikey was striking the car with the dangerous weapon. Even though nobody in the car got hit. According to the news release from the  County Sheriff’s Department in San Diego.  Ja Morant says on instagram about Mikey, “No way😂.” When Mikey was firing at the car, the driver was actually an Uber driver.

Mikey Williams will face some jail time. The charges for Ja Morant have already dropped. Ja Morant is fine now, and has been playing in the playoffs. Mikey on the other hand with his jail time is going to be……. unpredictable.
