Santa’s Workshop has just ended, did you go? Santa's workshop is a yearly event that happens at EPS and EIS. Santa’s workshop was on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 set up to 9am-6pm and through 6pm-9pm. The EPS PTO and Student Council have helped to set up and host this event. This event was set up to give kids that go to EPS and EIS goodies for the holidays. We do this event every year because it is something fun for the kids at EPS and EIS to look forward to.
Did you know that the EPS PTO was able to get Santa Claus to come to EPS! The kids were so happy that they got to see Santa Claus waving at them and listening to what they wanted for Christmas. Santa's workshop was able to raise about 6,000 dollars in total. One of Santa’s elves even dressed up as officer Alec to surprise everyone. Tinley Jablonski was also dressed up as a blow up Christmas tree for a little bit and she says that, “When I was in that costume it was my favorite thing throughout the event because when I was in the costume nobody knew who I was.”
This is what Kelly Jablonski, the EPS PTO president thinks about this year’s event, “Was a very successful event, it was the most we have made in the last few years.” she says. This year the EPS PTO was also able to get the EJHS student council to help out with set up and the actual event! “Oh my you have know idea how much the student council helped us! We could never begin to fully express how grateful we are for all that they did.” Kelly Jablonski says. We had lots of entertainment for kids and adults to see, there were blow ups, EJHS and EIS choir that sang Christmas songs, and there was a cool drive through Christmas light tunnel for people to drive through when they left. Dean Smith and Spencer Jablonski were on the sidewalk after you drove by the blow ups and they were dressed up in costumes waving to people. Spencer was Ralphie from the Christmas story and Dean was a blow up Christmas tree. Something that Peyton Conelle, a helper at Santa’s Workshop says about the event is, “I could tell everybody was having fun and we had no problems.“
This event was an overall great success and this was the best year we have had hosting this event. Hopefully you can come next year to participate in this awesome experience. Santa’s Workshop is something that everyone should be involved in! We hope that you can make it next year!
