Sisters In Christ is committed to meeting the unique needs of restoring women through innovative resources, education and self-sufficiency. Sisters In Christ helps to rebuild women in whatever stage of life they are facing. We encounter women of all ages. Focus is placed on unique life experiences, trauma/crisis, addictions and psycho-social issues surrounding women and how their health is impacted. We play an important role in restoring women to wholeness through transforming their mind, body and spirit.
Sisters In Christ serves as a model for the future that provides the total restoration of women by:
-Providing mentoring from local business women in the My Sister My Friend program
-Providing life skills training, workshops and seminars, including spiritual counseling and support
-Public health awareness and education
Transitional Living Program provides sober living housing to women with substance abuse issues, homelessness, mental illness or formerly incarcerated and are working to rebuild their lives. Our targeted population are ages 18 & older.
Sisters in Christ is also the Raytown Hub for Jackson County's Combat STRIVIN'
STRIVIN' standing for Striving Together To Reduce Violence In Neighborhoods. STRIVIN’ is COMBAT’s initiative to bring together schools, police, mental health providers, faith-based leaders and concerned citizens to address violence in our most vulnerable neighborhoods.
