A BRief History

I was looking for a Cavalier GSi at the time but stumbled across this in 1997 and had to have it after seeing one at the 1991 London Motor Show. It had around 80k on the clock with full service history plus it had been a company car so it came with a full print out of all work done from the lease company, warranty works included. Finding the head had been change around 60k for a coscast was a nice bonus.

After purchasing a chat with a mate highlighted that his uncle worked for the lease company and had offered the car to him which he turned down (As he had the Astra GTE Champion which he didn't want to part with).

A further conversation with a friend (also a Vauxhall Tech who worked at Motorbodies) remembered the car and he recalled he'd convincing the 2nd owner that he would be better off replacing the rear discs with some grooved aftermarket ones (Still fitted at the time of purchase) which he had also installed.

The car pretty much stayed standard until bits started to break, the first in memory was the rear box (Mounted next to the rear wheel so the side wall rotted) so at an Elite open day a Remus twin square was purchased and fitted. This was a road to wanting to do more as it now had a nice growl to it. A K&N cone filter, dump valve (Seemed the right thing to do to a four door family saloon) then more power (256bhp) thanks to Regal (EDS phase 1) then lowered (The last kit for this car from friends at irmscher UK) and a custom cat back stainless steel exhaust by Custom Chrome Racing to list a few.
