6th Grade Band

Welcome to the 6th Grade Band Page!

6th grade Band is the continuation from 5th grade Beginning Band in the Band Program in the Ravenna School District. Instrument options are as follows, as previously offered for the 5th grade Beginning Band: Flute, Clarinet, Alto Sax, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, and Percussion (Bell kit and Snare Drum).  

2 performances are offered for the academic school year - Holiday Concert and Spring Concert

**NOTE: Refer to the Calendar Page to view the specific dates and times when the 6th grade Band performs.

• ****Beginner Band Student Streaming Videos****

  • Highly recommend for Beginner Band students or any student learning their Band instruments for the 1st and 2nd year. This is a series of streaming videos that demonstrate how to put your instrument together, maintenance care, how to make a sound, proper breathing on a wind instrument, proper playing techniques, etc.
