Pathway Options
PATHWAY 1
RAS High School Diploma
One subject in each of the six subject groups at standard level (SL) or higher level (HL)
Theory of Knowledge (ToK)
A shortened Community Service (CS) element
Pathway 1 allows for more time to:
Pass high school courses with strong grades on the transcript
Prepare for other college entrance assessments such as the SAT
Extra-curricular development (community service & broadening interests)
Take part in productions/performances and developing the craft for a music/drama student;
Develop athletic skills and tournament experience for the athlete.
PATHWAY 2
RAS High School Diploma
+ IBDP Certificates
In choosing Pathway 2, students can build on the Pathway 1 requirements by choosing to take some subjects through the IBDP external examination. This provides students with a distinct advantage for specific university majors that may require strong passes in specified subjects for acceptance (e.g. chemistry and physics for engineering).

A shortened Community Service (CS) element, and do not undertake the Extended Essay at all.
IB external exams for IB Course Certificates
PATHWAY 3
RAS High School Diploma
+ IB Diploma (IBDP)
One subject in each of the six subject groups and must take 3 at standard level (SL) and 3 at higher level (HL).
The full IB Core:
- Theory of Knowledge (ToK)
- Creativity Activity Service (CAS)
- The Extended Essay
Pathway 3 requires high academic motivation and stamina.
The IBDP is widely recognized as one of the most prestigious and challenging pre-university courses, being accepted in 3,300 universities in 90 countries.
