Theory of Knowledge (TOK)


TOK is an opportunity to reflect on the nature of knowledge, and on how we know what we claim to know. A thoughtful and purposeful inquiry into different ways of knowing, and into different kinds of knowledge, TOK is composed almost entirely of questions. The most central of these is "How do we know?"

Extended Essay
(EE)


The extended essay is an in-depth independent study of a focused topic chosen from the list of approved Diploma Programme subjects. The product from this independent work is a 4000 words research paper which requires approximately 40 hours of research, writing and reflection. It is supported by a subject faculty advisor.

Creativity Activity Service (CAS)

CAS enables students to enhance
their personal and interpersonal development through experiential learning. The three strands of CAS, which are often interwoven with particular activities, are:
Creativity: arts, and other experiences involving creative thinking

Activity: Physical exertion contributing to a healthy lifestyle.

Service: An unpaid and voluntary exchange that has a learning benefit for the student.
