The Energy and Fuel industry is terrible for the environment, as we have learned. However, we need it for our economy. According to Greenpeace, the global economy loses $2.9 trillion annually just from fossil fuels. Every year, the US economy (the country that produces the most fossil fuels) loses about $600 billion from fossil fuel production. (“New Research: Air Pollution from Fossil Fuels Costs the World $8 Billion Every Day”). In 2023, China imported $365.7 billion worth of fossil fuels (Raiser).
