Ramsey Rural Museum was founded and exists to preserve the local heritage of the Fens. Visitors can delight in the many exhibits created with objects donated to the museum which reflect the life, work and traditions of the fens.
Sybil Marshall was determined to 'peer backwards, and see more clearly, what it meant to be the Tail-end-Charlie of the family of a genuine fen-tiger, born and brought up in the very depths of the Huntingdonshire fenlands.'
And maybe it was no coincidence that when the museum held it's official opening in 1988 Sybil was the guest of honour.
So here, we connect artefacts at Ramsey Rural Museum with snapshots from the writings of Sybil Marshall.
