This project has been made possible through a National Lottery Heritage Fund grant awarded to a group of Museums in Cambridgeshire. The project started in April 2021 and focuses volunteer engagement along with exploring local changemakers who have made a social impact in the area.
A year-long project in two phases, it aimed to provide young people in Fenland, Thorney & Ramsey, Cambridgeshire with new, flexible ways to get involved in volunteering at local museums, enabling greater diversity in the museum workforce and greater cultural equity between generations of local residents. This phase invited creative young people to discover their heritage through the stories and actions of Fenland’s great social reformers.
