The program operates 3 days a week, typically Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8:10-10:40am from mid-October through the beginning of June. Changes to this schedule due to school closing or other circumstances, will be arranged in advance by Mrs. Goldberg. Please check the Preschool Calendar here for in school days.
Parents should drop off students between 8:10-8:20am and pick up students between 10:40-10:50am. Parents should pull around to the side of the building in the Main Street parking lot as the teacher and students will be waiting. Please pull your car close to the building and wait for the teacher to allow your child into the building. If you do not arrive during the arrival/departure time, please enter through the front doors of the building. It is important that all students arrive on time to relieve confusion.
Parents are required to specifically name those persons who may pick up their child of the Pick-Up Authorization Form. Students will not be released to any unauthorized person without written instructions. If someone is picking up your child who is not named on the Pick-Up Authorization Form, parents MUST send a note with the child stating whom he/she will be going home with.
Snack is provided through your tuition. The children's snack includes a store bought snack such as animal crackers, pretzels, goldfish crackers and apple juice. All allergies are taken into consideration and will never provide a snack to a child who may be allergic to its ingredients. Snack is offered to the kids at 9:45am.
In the case of school closures, you will receive a call from the district stating the following:
School is closed: No Preschool
Delayed opening: No Preschool
Early Dismissal: no change in schedule
If your child will be absent from school please email the Mrs. Goldberg at kgoldberg@ramsey.k12.nj.us. If you know that your child will be absent from preschool due to other events such as vacation or sibling school events, please give advanced notice. This helps us know if we need to cancel preschool due to lack of enrollment for the day.
In order to assure the safety of all students and staff, Ramsey High School conducts regular drills to prepare for the unlikely event of an emergency situation during school hours. Preschool students will participate in all of these drills, which may include fire drills, evacuations, lock-downs and/or relocation drills.
Illness: It is important that we protect the health of all students and teacher at Ramsey High School. Please do not send your child to school if they exhibit any of the following illnesses or symptoms:
Medication: If it is absolutely necessary that your child take medication during school hours, arrangements must be made IN ADVANCE with our school nurse, Mrs. Andria Nemeth. She may be contacted at anemeth@ramsey.k12.nj.us or (201) 785-2300 x21515
In School Wellness/Emergency: If you child becomes sick while at school, arrangements must be made to pick him/her up as soon as possible. Please have a realistic plan in place in case you are unavailable.
