We use story maps with all pupils. It supports remembering the sequence of a narrative and the planning of their own narratives. Before writing the pupils orally rehearse their story. This particularly supports English as an additional language pupils and pupils with memory and speech and language difficulties. Attribute maps develops all pupils receptive and expressive language and supports spellings.
