Mind Maps

Mind Maps are a way of recording information visually. They were originally devised by Tony Buzan. Mind maps can be a very effective learning tool throughout the school years. Research has indicated that using both the right and left hemispheres of the brain can maximise learning. This means colour, imagination, and pictures as well as words.

Here are some of our mindmaps. We often use mind maps in preteaching on a Friday afternoon. Mind maps can be used in many ways and can help pupils to plan and retain new learning eg for organising and writing stories, revision, learning spellings.
