What is Extended Learning Time (ELT)?
Extended Learning Time is the block of the school day, where students have the opportunity to receive additional support with their teachers. This is our PRIMARY opportunity for intervention for all students.
Reminder: if your student is absent or going to be absent for any reason
during ELT, please Report Absence Here!
Each day, during Pack Time, students check to see if they were pulled by a teacher. If not, they choose and ELT to attend.
Descriptions will explain what they are doing in the ELT or if the student needs to complete anything for the teacher in preparation to attend.
If a student is pulled for a workshop by their teacher, they MUST attend.
Workshop:
Smaller group- selected by their teacher.
Or student can ask teacher to “pull” them for their workshop.
Tutorial:
When choosing their elt, students can request to see a tutorial for their teacher for additional help.
They can also try seeing another teacher who teaches the same class.
Enrichment:
Clubs, study hall, activities.
Students should only choose Enrichments if they are caught up and doesn't need additional help.
