Our Plenary Speakers

Associate Professor Victor Lim Fei researches and teaches on multiliteracies, multimodal discourse analyses, and digital learning at the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is interested in what and how students should be learning in today’s digital age. Victor believes that literacy education must be future-oriented and progress with the evolving contemporary communication landscape. He received the John Cheung Social Media Award in 2021 for exemplary and innovative use of social media in teaching and the NIE Excellence in Teaching Commendation in 2022. He is an editor of Multimodality and Society and an associate editor of three other journals, Asia Pacific Journal of Education, Computers and Composition, and Designs for Learning. He is also author of the book, Designing Learning with Embodied Teaching: Perspectives from Multimodality, and lead author of the book, Designing Learning for Multimodal Literacy: Teaching Viewing and Representing, both published in the Routledge Studies in Multimodality. Victor  started his career as a General Paper teacher in a junior college and was previously Deputy Director, Technologies for Learning, and Lead Specialist (now Master Specialist) at the Educational Technology Division, Ministry of Education, Singapore. He has experience in translational research, policy formulation, and programme development, with a focus on how educational technology can improve teaching and learning.

Fiona Lee is the Singapore Managing Director of HP Inc. She is responsible for driving HP’s vision and go-to-market (GTM) strategy to achieve growth and profitability for HP, also strengthening HP’s Advanced Manufacturing as well as global Print Research and Development footprint in Singapore.

Her priorities include making HP a leading, relevant and trusted brand by embracing diversity and sustainability and serving its employees, customers and the local community. She is focused on advancing, disrupting and transforming HP's business through locally relevant business strategies. She also is well versed in maximizing opportunities through partnership in the era of digital transformation.

Fiona believes that developing and enabling people to be the best versions of themselves and constantly being future ready builds successful, sustainable and caring companies. Passionate about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Fiona is actively involved in HP’s Women Impact Network, NextGen, PRIDE and Disability Impact Networks. She also serves on HP’s Global DEI board.  Fiona is an ardent sponsor of HP’s Women in Leadership Lab program and is intentional about helping women rise.    

Fiona brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in the technology industry. Her most recent role was Head of Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, and Indonesia Managing Director at HP Inc., where she managed business profitability, country vision and strategies. She also sits on the Board of Governors of Amcham Indonesia. 

Prior to that, Fiona was Head and Vice President for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) Graphics Solutions Business at HP Inc. She also served as Chief of Staff to the APJ President, where she was responsible for all aspects of Strategy and Planning.

During her career at HP, Fiona worked in various management, consulting, marketing and sales roles across HP’s consumer, commercial and enterprise businesses for PC, Print and Supplies. Notably, she led the successful integration of Samsung’s printer business for HP APJ.

Fiona holds a Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities.
