Last Minute Shift Cancellations info added to Coordinator How To's
Baby Splash classes aim to familiarise your little one with the water for the first time while being involved in a fun and social environment. This program has been specifically designed to highlight the many benefits of spending time in the water with your baby, and will arm you with the knowledge and resources to better understand the early stages of baby swimming. Even better - these classes are free for bubs (and their carers) from 2-6 months old. At the conclusion of this introductory session you can choose to enrol into one of our regular FREE Baby Splash classes held regularly across the week - even weekends.
Set aside a seated area within your facility where you can comfortably seat approximately 10 people. Quite often both parents will attend, plus support team (grandparents etc). Where possible use a quiet space where distractions are minimal.
Collect the attendance sheet and ensure that you have everyone in the allocated area. Sometimes families may get lost, so if necessary send out a search party to find them. Once everyone is ready, commence the presentation on time - do not leave families waiting.
INTRODUCTION
Hello and welcome to Rackley Swimming <insert venue name>. My name is <insert presenter’s name> and I am the swim school coordinator here at <insert venue name>. During today’s presentation we will have a quick chat about the features that are located within the facility, the benefits of baby swimming, and answer any questions that you may have. We will then enter the water and show you some of the many of the wonderful activities that you and your child will be enjoying during class time.
Rackley Swimming is a family owned swim school with 27 swim schools located across South East Queensland. Our friendly, qualified swim teachers are passionate about teaching children to develop the necessary skills and confidence they need to be safer in and around the water.
Splash Babies Program - What to Expect
Our FREE Baby SPLASH program caters for children from 2 months up to 6 months and aims to familiarise you and your little one with the water in a fun, relaxed and social environment. This program has been specifically designed to highlight the many benefits of spending time in the water with your baby, and will arm you with the knowledge and resources to better understand the early stages of baby swimming.
Even better - these classes are free for bubs (and their carers) from 2-6 months old. Once your bub turns 6 months, they will have the opportunity to graduate to our 3 level Discovery Program that caters for children from 6 months right through to 3 years of age.
Consistency in attendance and frequency is the key - Baby swimming is more than just fun , research shows that babies who swim experience better outcomes than non-swimming children across a number of different areas, including:
development of motor skills, including coordination and balance
cognitive learning skills, and
social experience skills
Splash Classes are conducted Monday to Friday <list approximate times>, Saturday <list approximate times> and Sunday <list approximate times>.
