Hello! My name is Emily Walberg, and I am thrilled to be teaching 2nd grade at Rushford-Peterson Schools this year. It is my fifth year in the classroom, and I have previously taught kindergarten and first grade. I have the best job ever!
Currently, I live in Winona but I am originally from Shoreview, a suburb of St. Paul. My older sister lives in New Jersey with her fiance. My parents are enjoying retired life.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood from Winona State University. I also hold a Master’s degree in Reading and Literacy (K–6) from Walden University.
I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child as we work together to make this a successful and exciting school year. Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. Let’s make it a great year full of learning and growth!
🎨 I love being creative, whether it's decorating my classroom, doing crafts, or trying out new DIY projects.
📚 I am a big reader- especially children's books! I am always on the lookout for new favorites to share with my students.
🚶♀️ I enjoy going for walks and hikes, especially when the fall colors are out.
⛺ I enjoy road trips and camping- I like exploring state and national parks.
🐱 I have a cat named Tater Tot!
