Students develop number sense by exploring place value to 1,000 and learning addition and subtraction strategies. Throughout the year, we also study measurement, time, money, data and graphs, and two- and three-dimensional shapes. Through hands-on activities, discussions, and real-world problem solving, students learn to explain their thinking and build confidence in mathematics.
