Gamification Structure
Each class is a Spanish speaking country as well as a team. Classes earn points by speaking, singing, engaging, doing extra work, successfully maintaining the target language and so much more. The possibilities are endless and the students constantly invent new ways to earn points. Classes earn points and decide to purchase powers and privileges which enchance their Spanish experience. Some groups earn and save all year to achieve the coveted SÍ day. It is a day in which they can do anything they want in Spanish class as long as they ask in Spanish.
It is exactly as terrifying as it sounds! But let me assure you, THEY ALL WANT A SÍ DAY!

When students can earn points for their class by doing extra Señor Wooly Nuggets, maintaining a Duolingo streak or even creative projects based on stories; they do!

Students earn points for questions, observations and rejoinders in Spanish. They are motivated to jump the hurdles of insecurity and uncertainty. The output FLOWS!
