I have been teaching performing arts in public and private schools for more than three decades, and I can honestly say I love teaching more now than ever before. I came to the Quilcene School District ten years ago as a Washington State University enrichment specialist in the arts, and stayed on in the role of performing arts teacher beginning in 2019. As an arts educator, I am passionate about project based learning. I hold a B.F.A. from The Juilliard School, and have years of professional experience in theater, dance, and interdisciplinary arts. This year I am excited to be continuing the tradition of the school’s strong culinary arts program by also teaching culinary arts, another one of my lifelong passions. While raising my family, I owned and operated a bakery and catering business for 15 years, and helped develop the Port Townsend Farmers Market as a board member during that time. I am the advisor for the performing arts club, and the culinary arts club.
