The Wednesday or Thursday before the week your child is the Star I will send home their poster to be completed for the following Monday.
Monday - your child should bring in his/her poster to share with the class. As part of being the Star of the Week, your child will be the line leader all week!
Tuesday - your child can bring in 1 item for Show & Tell to share with the class.
Wednesday - if possible, your child can bring in a special snack to share with the class. Please make it something small and should be prepackaged from the store - ALSO peanut/nut free.
Thursday - your child can bring in his/her favorite story for us to read at storytime. Please be sure it is not a long story. Thank you.
Friday - Scootie will go home for the weekend with your child in his special carrying bag & journal book. While Scootie is visiting, please write a short story in the journal about his adventures at your home. If possible take 2-3 pictures and add them to the journal. Scootie returns to school on Monday with the journal in his special bag and we will read all about his adventures at circle time Monday.
Note - Scootie will be sanitized when he returns home and will sit to be ready for the next visit.
ALSO - your child will be able to pick the movie for movie rest time on Friday. Either email me or send in a note with the title and I can use Disney Plus or Netflix - a school appropriate movie.

This is just a tentative schedule, children are always asking, “When is my turn?” & I hope this will help you have an idea. The schedule could change because of weather, events or even illnesses. If you see the week your child is Tentatively scheduled & you know you will be away, please let me know as soon as possible so I can make a change. Also, if your child is scheduled to be the Star & becomes sick PLEASE do not send them in - no problem to reschedule, it is no fun being the Star when you are sick. The children picked names out of a hat for the order of Stars, Mrs. Hartman pulled the 1st name and that child pulls the next name and so on.
