Every day the children need to have a snack with them unless I have let you know otherwise. They should have their snack and drink in a ziplock large baggie with their name on it. I have supplied one for every child to start the year in the parent folders that are handed out the night of the Parent Orientation. Their snack should be small and be something that they are able to eat on their own, meaning if it is an apple they want cut - it should be cut into slices before sending it in. An orange should be peeled and ready for them to eat. I appreciate your help with this. Also if you child has something that they need a spoon or fork, please also include that with their snack. NOTE - we are a peanut and nut FREE classroom.
If your child is a full day student they need to have either a lunch with them or have pre ordered a hot lunch. Again please be sure they are able to eat it on their own, meaning if it is an apple they want cut - it should be cut into slices before sending it in. An orange should be peeled and ready for them to eat. I appreciate your help with this. Also if you child has something that they need a spoon or fork, please also include that with their lunch. Containers are not a problem for us to help out with. If your child is coming home with food be sure to ask why they have not eaten it. Mrs. Hartman & I do send home all uneaten food unless it is something that will spill or go bad, in that case we may send a note so you are aware. My thought is if you have packed their lunch you know what they are eating, I do however insist they eat their healthy food first, when they tell me they don't like it I tell them then why did Mom or Dad pack it?
