Dear QAS Parents and Guardians,

This week’s newsletter is one last opportunity for me to say goodbye to our students, parents, and QAS community. I will be moving to Jakarta, Indonesia for the next school year, but I would like all of you to know that my time with QAS has been wonderful. As a school, we endured COVID and being online, classrooms in bubbles, and this year returning to regular school life. I know that QAS is in good hands and will continue to grow and offer our students the best education possible. Wishing you all the best! 

On a different note, I encourage families to make sure that their summer plans include opportunities for your students to read books, in English and Arabic. Reading is a great way to help students stay academically engaged over the summer, and reading will help students continue to improve their English and Arabic language skills. Students should read between 20 and 30 minutes a day. Take time to stop by the QNL library before you leave for the summer holidays or regularly visit QNL during the summer if you plan to stay in Doha over the break.

 أعزائي أولياء أمور طلاب - أكاديمية قطر السدرة 

أود أن أنتهز هذه الفرصة بأن أودع طلاب وأولياء أمور ومجتمع أكاديمية قطر السدرة. حيث سأنتقل العام القادم إلى جاكرتا في إندونيسيا، لقد استمتعت بالعمل في أكاديمية قطر السدرة مع المعلمين والطلاب وأولياء الأمور. كمدرسة تحملنا جائحة كوفيد، و أنشأنا فصول للتعلم عن بعد، بالإضافة إلى فصول دراسية في فقاعات، وهذا العام عدنا إلى الحياة المدرسية التي اعتدنا عليها. أعلم بأن أكاديمية قطر السدرة في أيدي أمينه وستستمر في النمو وتقديم أفضل تعليم للطلاب. تمنياتي لكم بالتوفيق في العام الأكاديمي القادم.   

في جانب آخر، أود أن أشجعكم على حث أبنائكم القراءة باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية خلال الإجازة الصيفية. حيث تعد القراءة طريقة رائعة لمساعدة الطلاب على الاستمرار في التفاعل الأكاديمي والتعلم خلال فصل الصيف، و ستساعد القراءة الطلاب على مواصلة تحسين مهاراتهم في اللغة الإنجليزية واللغة العربية و يستحسن أن يقرأ الطالب ما بين 20 و 30 دقيقة في اليوم. أدعوكم لزيارة مكتبة قطر الوطنية قبل أن تغادر لقضاء العطلة الصيفية لاستعارة بعض الكتب أو قم بزيارة مكتبة قطر الوطنية بانتظام خلال فصل الصيف إذا كنت تخطط للبقاء في الدوحة خلال الصيف

Reminders:  

End of Year Reports: 

The end of year reports were sent to parents and students through Managebac on Thursday, June 15th. These reports represent the final grades for your children. As a reminder, students with outstanding fees or overdue library books will not receive their reports until these items are cleared. 

We encourage you to spend time with your children reviewing the end of year reports to reflect on what went well this year and areas for improvement next year.

تقارير نهاية العام

سيتم إصدار تقارير نهاية العام في منصة Managebac يوم الخميس 15 يونيو. تمثل هذه التقارير الدرجات النهائية لأبنائك يرجى العلم بأنه إذا كانت هناك رسوم مستحقة أو كتب للمكتبة لن يتلقى الطلاب تقاريرهم حتى يتم تسديد الرسوم واسترجاع الكتب.

نشجعكم على قضاء بعض الوقت مع أبنائكم في مراجعة التقارير النهائية لهذا العام. و مع اللتفكير في الأمور التي سارت بشكل جيد هذا العام ومجالات التحسين في العام المقبل.

On Thursday, we celebrated the hard work of our students at an awards ceremony followed by a whole school football match. This was a wonderful way to recognize the hard work of our students and to take a break from the academic focus of our school. 

 احتفالات

احتفلنا يوم الخميس بإنجازات الطلاب واجتهادهم خلال الفصل الدراسي، حيث أقمنا  حفل توزيع الجوائز وبعدها أُقيمت مباراة كرة قدم بين الطلاب. استمتع الطلاب بهذا اليوم.
