This is the landing page for the new Parent Portal where you will be able to click on your daughter to see information about her, view notices from the school to your groups, see updates on what has been happening for your daughter at the College, and access some quick links to useful systems.
The My Family section is featured at the top left of the Portal home page. A card of your daughter will appear under the My Family heading. If you have multiple daughters attending Pymble, then a card will appear for each. Clicking on your daughter's card will take you to a page of information specific to this daughter, called the Daughter's Page.
The new Portal allows you to conveniently let the College know about a new absence. Once the absence is registered in the system, you will be notified that our records have been updated – reducing the chance of a student incorrectly doing this on behalf of the parent.
For full day absences, you will be able to nominate the date and enter a reason for the absence into the Portal. This will automatically update the school records. Later that day, you will receive a notification letting you know the system has been updated.
myPymble allows you to provide permission for your child to attend events.
In some instances, you will first be required to confirm our medical records are up to date before completing the permission task.
The upcoming event permissions will appear on your myPymble homepage, and can also be accessed via the 'permissions' tab in the menu bar.
You can also view upcoming events via the Calendar section of the portal. Learn more about the calendar here.
Use the myPymble app and website to let us know your daughter is unwell and will not be attending school today.
You can inform us for an absence today or tomorrow. For late arrivals or early departures, you are directed to contact the relevant sub-school. For future extended leave requests, you will get access to a request form for you to complete and return to the appropriate sub-school, who will then review your application and let you know if it has been approved.
Requests for extended leave require school approval and is not automatically granted.
When you provide permission for your child to attend an event, you may first be required to confirm the medical details that we have on record are correct. You may also review emergency contact details.
As we have moved to a new system, we are asking all parents to complete a new record of their child's medical information to confirm our records are correct. Once this is done the first time, subsequent uses of the form will be pre-populated with this information to streamline the process of checking and updating this information.
When you fill in the medical form, information that we have about your child will be pre-populated for you to check and edit. This will dramatically reduce the time it takes to keep your child's medical data up to date.
There are many sub-groups within the College – from Kindergarten classes to Boarding parents and all parents of Year 10. Using Groups, we will reduce the number of emails we send to you and instead post an update to your groups. That way, when you are ready to get your Pymble updates, you can go to the Portal and read all the messages - rather than navigating multiple different emails. A Portal notice can have attachments, hyperlinks, images or videos.
Think of stories as a Facebook style feed of stories curated for each user about their daughter's time at the College. The data will initially just come from Edumate, but we expect to extend this over the course of 2021 to other systems like the Spydus Library system, Canvas LMS and Clipboard co-curricular systems.
Some example of stories we will start with include:
Academic report ready
Award received
Detention received
Happy Birthday
Upcoming task
Event in two weeks
Event tomorrow
Coursework due today
Coursework due in two weeks
Coursework due in two days
One of the key uses of the Portal is to provide you with quick access to the different systems you might want to access – from our online shop to co-curricular registration systems. You will be automatically logged into the linked system.
The Global Navigation Bar appears at the top left of each Portal screen. From here, you can:
Return to the home page
View a family calendar, parent contact lists, event permissions and notices
Open the 'hamburger' menu on the left hand side where you can access additional functions
Go to the MyPymble landing page
Change your settings via your profile including your language, sharing preferences and set dark mode.
