Prophet Song by Paul Lynch- intrigued. No paragraphs??? Irish author; recommended by a student.
Recommended by a student and have already read The Passengers by John Marrs (I loved it); haven't read a dystopic for a while and want to read this before watching on Netflix.
✅ Update! Have read this and thoroughly enjoyed. Also watched the Netflix series, as I promised myself I would do. Very interesting, as the Netflix series really only used the premise of the book- the stories in the film version were very different.
Recommended by a Year 9 student. Sounds like a great teen read and I LOVE a story about moving as a teen and the challenges that brings.
✅ Update! Have read this and enjoyed. A refreshing romance story- set in Australia and deals with family difficulties that make it a more satisfying read than many other romance books.
Can't remember who originally recommended but interested in this and worried about Social Media for my own children and my students.
✅ Update! Have read this and found the research intriguing as well as concerning. Trying to curb social media habits/connections online with friends at home is super problematic... think this is something every parent/educator should read.
✅ Finished this! I included this in my TBR because of my goal to read more Romantasy. I'm really glad I did- this has Hunger Games vibes. I even started the second book but didn't love it, so didn't finish :(
