The Futures department oversee the Careers Education program, careers counselling, and student preparation and advice for post-school options. Formal careers education lessons start in Year 7 and continue onto Year 12; in addition many informal sessions and activities complement the formal program. References required for student applications are also managed by the Futures department Kim Maksimovic, Director of Futures and Partnership (K-12) also oversees College Partnership procedures and liaises with various staff members to help initiate, implement, and manage partnerships with organisations beyond the school. This includes alumni initiatives, the annual careers expo, external careers testing, and post-school connections such as universities. A number of events which have a careers focus are managed by the Futures department, as is College work experience and work immersion initiatives. Many partnerships managed have a direct careers focus, whilst other partnerships have a more direct link to curriculum.What can the Futures Department help students with?
