The Conde Library is a hub for literacy, teaching and learning in the secondary life of the College. The Conde team is made up of Inquiry Learning Leaders (ILLs), librarians and library technicians.

The Library team thrives on supporting teaching and learning within the College, and reinforcing the Academic and Digital Intelligence Pillars. This can take many shapes and forms:
Collaboration between the ILLs and faculty members to co-design and co-teach units of work and learning opportunities that centre around research, inquiry and critical thinking.
Developing students’ skills in information and digital literacy.
Assistance with referencing and academic integrity.
1:1 mentoring of students involved in inquiry.
Resourcing for particular learning opportunities / units of work.
Support and instruction in use of databases, Conde SuperSearch and other Conde resources.
Creation of scaffolds to break down the research process and track information.
Creation of LibGuides (see below for example of a Year 7 Science LibGuide of resources).

The Conde Library houses a substantial collection of pedagogical resources for staff to peruse and borrow to use for research and to enhance their practice. You will find this collection on the second floor of the Conde Library.
Literacy
Literacy
We are proud of our relevant, inclusive and diverse collection of fiction and non-fiction reads. This has been especially curated for our student body based on their reading likes, needs and habits. The collection caters for challenge, escapism, nurturing, a different perspective and a dose of inspiration, and aligns nicely with the College’s Emotional and Social Intelligence pillars.
The Conde Library also provides specially selected staff reads. Newsletters of both popular and literary new reads are sent around on a regular basis and staff are welcome to browse our collections and are entitled to extended loan periods. We also host a popular staff book club each term and morning teas for staff to come and check out our new staff reads.
