My first day is finally here!
What should I expect?
What should I expect?
To be a little nervous, excited and raring to go!
This might be the first 'first day' in a while for you, or it might be your first 'first day' ever, but either way know you will continue to be supported on your Pymble journey throughout your time here.
Your first day may look a little different to others, pending your role here at the College, but typically you should expect to:
- Meet your Manager and peers
- Head on a little tour of the College, if you haven't already done so and find where your office/staff room or classrooms are
- Meet your buddy (in person!) and perhaps have a coffee from our Jacaranda Café
- Visit our Security Office to have your photo taken and have your swipe access card made
- Visit our IT Hub or have a member of our wonderful IT team come to your office to help set you up on our systems and provide you with your IT assets
- Spend some time orientating yourself with our IT systems and doing some general administration like setting up your email signature
- If you're a teacher, you may have classes from your first day - a great opportunity to meet your students and get to know the girls!
- Head over to the HR team's office in the Lower IH building (below reception) to receive your welcome pack and meet the Team.
First days can be a whirlwind of information and new faces - you can always refer back to this site to help or reach out to HR with any questions (none are silly!)
