Robert Seitz, Director of Choir
Robert Seitz is the Director of Choirs at Yorba Linda Middle School. He received a Bachelor of Music in Performance from Biola University in 2016 and a Master of Music in Trombone Performance from the University of Southern California in 2019. Robert is a graduate of PYLUSD and has gone through Glenknoll Elementary, Bernardo Yorba Middle School, and El Dorado High School.
Robert is an active freelance musician in Los Angeles and Orange Counties and has performed in the La Mirada Symphony and Thornton Symphony at USC. His principal teachers have been Phil Keen, David Stetson, Ralph Sauer, and Terry Cravens. Robert has been teaching privately since 2011, with many students experiencing success, and has also run sectionals for many schools in the Orange County area. Robert Seitz has performed at various venues in the Southern California area, including Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall, Bovard Auditorium, Booth Hall, Our Lady of Angels Cathedral, La Mirada Theatre, Hollywood Bowl, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. Robert is a Music Matters Global Brass Quartet member who performs at various community engagements, church events, weddings, and recitals.
Robert Seitz has been the Director of Choirs at Yorba Linda Middle School for two years. During his time at Biola University, he performed as a bass with several distinguished ensembles, including the Biola Kingsmen and the Biola Men's Chorus. He also sang with the Paul Delgato Singers, gaining valuable experience performing a variety of vocal repertoire. In addition, Robert Seitz participated in multiple student recitals for education majors, further developing his solo and collaborative performance skills. These experiences continue to shape his teaching as he helps students build strong vocal technique, music literacy, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for singing.
